Assassin's Creed 3 Leaps Forward to 18th Century Colonial America in New Trailer - This 8-Bit Life

Leland Flynn

By now it is old news that the setting for the Assassin’s Creed game will be 18th Century Colonial America. Much has already been said about this and as the Internet is wont to do sides have already been taken over a handful of screenshots, some box art and an unreleased game. It looks like Ubisoft making an attempt to silence its detractors with its new trailer for the game. From the looks of it we are only seeing pre-rendered footage. I haven’t noticed anything that looks like in-game footage yet but hopefully we will have something soon. Ubisoft has also decided to throw down with a release date of October 31st, 2012!

I have to say I am really excited about the new setting. I think it’s going to bring some new and really interesting character to the series. I am still holding out for British Colonial India though. *sigh* One can but dream.
