Dana White Just Keeps Asking to Get Hacked - This 8-Bit Life

Leland Flynn

Earlier this month I watched a pretty interesting exchange between the the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s President, Dana White and a member/members of Anomymous (specifically @YourAnonNews) on Twitter. @YourAnonNews tweeted at Dana asking him why he supported SOPA. White went on to explain his views on copyright and regurgitated most of the same uninformed crap that we hear from most of SOPA/PIPA/ACTA’s supporters. That it’s not about controlling the web and free speech and that these bills/treaties only exist to protect copyright holders.

Well White, in typical wannabe alpha male fashion started to taunt Anon publicly. It was pretty sad to watch live. @YourAnonNews was asking very valid and direct questions and all Mr. White could respond with was animosity, misinformation and, macho posturing. Numerous people, myself included, tweeted at White urging him to stop making a fool of himself and literally asking Anonymous to hack UFC’s sites. In the end he got what he asked for. Anonymous brought down the UFC page and eventually released quite a bit of White’s personal information including tax information, addresses, phone numbers and, his social security number. That information can be found here.

I rehash all of this because I just came across the following video. The contents of which are really quite telling of Mr. White and his views on the Internet and copyright. Enjoy the fear-mongering.
