Install Cyanogen Mod 7 on your NookColor! - This 8-Bit Life

Leland Flynn

**Update**

Install CyanogenMod on your NookColor

Items needed:
1Gb or larger Micro SD Card
NookColor
Bootable Clockwork Mod
Win32DiskImager

Step 1. Download the following file, unpack and use Win32DiskImager to write the .img to the Micro SD card.

Step 2. Download the flashable image of CyanogenMod 7 here, and the Google Apps pack here. Unpack them and copy them to the root of the SD card. You will install these files through Clockwork once booted.

Step 3. Insert the SD card in the Nook and reboot it with the USB cable plugged in to your computer. It should now boot into Clockwork Recovery. Use the volume up/down keys to navigate, the “n” button to select, and the power button to step back through a menu tree.

Select ‘Mounts and Storage’, format system, data and cache. DO NOT FORMAT YOUR BOOT PARTITION! Select ‘Install zip from SD Card’, ‘choose zip from SD Card’ and install both the .zips you downloaded earlier.

Once you’re finished, pull out the SD Card and reboot. You should be booting to Cyanogen Mod 7!
